Hypoallergenic Products for Eczema

Eczema is skin inflammation that often bubbles, itches, scales, and is red. There are different causes of eczema, but the most common use of the term applies to atopic eczema. Also referred to as atopic dermatitis, this type of eczema is an inherited condition characterized by dry, sensitive skin.

If you have atopic eczema, your skin care regimen is really important to the health of your skin.

Dermatologists recommend that atopic eczema patients use only hypoallergenic skin care products that protect and enhance skin moisture. This means avoiding common skin allergens in products, such as fragrances and harsh preservative ingredients. It also means avoiding stringent soaps and applying rich, water-binding moisturizers immediately after bathing.

I've developed skin care products designed for people with symptoms of eczema. My entire family and I are prone to atopic eczema, as are many of my patients. Over the years I have learned the nuances of what works, what doesn't work, and what is impractical for natural eczema treatment.

I have created a range of products to fit most product preferences and skin care habits. Whether it's your entire body skin, your face, or just your hands that suffer from eczema, I've got the building blocks of a skin care routine to help heal your eczema and keep your skin healthy and comfortable.

All of my skin cleansers are hypoallergenic. Choose from naturally made soaps rich in hydrating glycerin, such as my Dry Skin All Natural Foaming Hand Soap and Naturally Best Bar Soap. I also have a classic dermatologic cleanser for sensitive skin, called SYNDETS (synthetic detergents). They are pH balanced and include  Vanicream Cleansing Bar Soap. Follow your cleansing with a hydrating toner, such as my Naturally Hydrating Pore Refining Toner.

Find a full range of moisturizers that are safe for eczema-prone skin, including my Dry Skin Daily Face Cream and All Natural Face and Body Butter  and All Natural Body Lotion. For hand eczema, there's Dry Skin Hand Cream, and for those suffering from severely chapped hands, I recommend the Dry Hand Repair Kit to provide your hand skin with intensive repair therapy.

If you have eczema, you need smart skin care choices screened and created by a dermatologist who knows the nuances and pitfalls of your eczema-prone skin. I've worked hard to curate my product line for people like my family, my patients, and you - we folks who need the absolute best eczema treatment for our sensitive skin.
